The Arts Institute of Western Maine is now doing business as ArtsFarmington! We have made this change and updated our mission statement to reflect the organization's growth and evolution. Since 1971, we have been bringing local and world-class live performances to Farmington, Maine and we are committed to this endeavor. As an affiliate of the University of Maine at Farmington, we're proud to use historic Nordica Auditorium as the venue for many of our concerts. In addition to the musical concerts at UMF, we offer performances at other venues within Farmington such as the Farmington Public Library, Emery Arts Center at UMF and the Nordica Homestead Museum. We also work with the UMF Art Gallery on visual arts events such as the Water Bear Confabulum every fall.
