Ruth Hill with Jenna Lindbo

The Arts Institute of Western Maine is pleased to present a performance of two fabulous singer- songwriters--Ruth Hill and Jenna Lindbo--on Saturday, January 25 at 7:30 p.m. in University of Maine at Farmington's Nordica Auditorium.

Ruth Hill is a talented multi-instrumentalist with an achingly clear voice who delivers her own eclectic mix of folk, Americana, blues, and bluegrass. A musical storyteller inspired by the gritty joy of growing up in a large, colorful family, and a wandering spirit that's taken her to both poles of the globe, she sings her heart out in beautiful melodies and hard-hitting lyrics. Her songs are a feather in the wind, a mason jar of moonshine, a spin on the Tilt-a-Whirl--exciting your imagination and opening the doors to your own heart.

Jenna Lindbo is a human connectifying wonder with a smile on her face, the sea in her eyes, and sunshine in her pocket. Through both songs and stories, she has a magical way of bringing joyful attention to the sweetness and sorrow of life worth living. Hearing her perform live is an experience you won't want to miss. “Jenna is one of those rare performers who steals your heart from the first note. She turns everyday details in to magical stories that bring you to the edge of your seat with charming songs, a gorgeous voice, and joy bursting from her soul, Jenna is destined to create and share music with an ever-widening audience.” - Catie Curtis Ruth and Jenna hail from opposite oceans and are separated by a few decades but they share a common belief in the power of songs to connect us to ourselves and to others so they decided to join talents for this show!
